Detailed Itinerary

The Huchuy Qosqo complex is one of the main archaeological centers of the Urubamba Valley, its history is just as important. This experience allows us to know:

  • Chinchero: The activity of the textile industry was another of the main bases within the Inca civilization and that is why the town of Chinchero stands out since its tradition with the handling of Alpaca wool from its obtaining, washing, dyeing colors and spinning continues. kept from generation to generation. This town also has its history over the years since initially the 10th Inca, Tupac Yupanqui arranged his palace to live in this place, over the years and after the arrival of the Spanish on this site the Temple was built. to the Virgin of Monserrat and in the colonial era this was also the place of residence of Mateo Pumacahua who played a very important role in the rebellion of Túpac Amaru II and the rebellion of the Angulo Brothers. Today this picturesque town has much to show the world with its beautiful Temple that has paintings by famous Cusqueño artists such as Diego Quispe Tito and Francisco Chihuantito, we will also find the numerous terraces and a large esplanade that finely adorn its surroundings.
  • Huchuy Qosqo: This beautiful place has a very interesting and unique architecture because the buildings have been built on polished stone bases with a fine finish that were only used in the most important places within the Inca civilization, with a fine layer of clay that currently it is the best preserved part, on the other hand the highest floors are made of a combination of earth and straw. One of the interpretations is that it was a city of retreat and rest for the exclusive use of the Inca Nobility, which would explain the affinity it had with work.
