Detailed Itinerary

During our adventure we can go through different places that contain a mystery and a beautiful view, the places that we can see are:

  • Capulioc: Su nombre expresado en el idioma original de los Incas significa where there is Capulí, which at the same time is a tree that, according to local people, used to abound in the area. In the place we also find a beautiful viewpoint from where you have the first view of Choquequirao. Likewise, you can enjoy the beautiful valley of Apurímac, the snowy mountains of the Vilcabamba mountain range, occasionally enjoy an amazing spectacle such as the flight of the Condor and very occasionally you can see the Andean bear going down the canyon in search of food. .
  • Choquequirao: Located in the Vilcabamba sector, where the last Incas took refuge from the Spanish during the conquest. Its construction was the work of the successors of the Inca Pachacutec. During his investigation it became evident that the use of ceramics had a domestic and ceremonial function. It is estimated that 40% of its entire extension was for ceremonial use due to the style of its constructions.
  • Its function was possibly that of entry control point to the Vilcabamba region. In its structure it can be seen that it has a resemblance to the imperial capital of Cusco since it contains the enclosures dedicated to the Sun, the Mallquis, the earth, the water and other Andean deities. On the other hand, the urban sector contains enclosures for royalty and also for the common people.
