Summary Itinerary

Day 01: Tour of the Countryside (Morning)

09:30 – 11:00 Pick up from your hotel and start of the experience. First we will visit the district of Cayma, passing through the local church. Then, we will go to the viewpoint of the countryside, from where you have a panoramic view of the place.
11:00 – 13:30 We will continue the tour to the Sabandía mill in the same way, we will visit the district of Paucarpata with its terraces, square and church.
Then, we will return to the center of Arequipa to finish the tour.

Day 01: Tour of the Countryside (Afternoon)

13:00 – 15:00 Pick up from your hotel and start of the experience. First we will visit the district of Cayma, passing through the local church. Then, we will go to the viewpoint of the countryside, from where you have a panoramic view of the place.
15:00 – 17:00 We will continue the tour to the Sabandía mill in the same way, we will visit the district of Paucarpata with its terraces, square and church.
Then, we will return to the center of Arequipa to finish the tour.

Detailed Itinerary

Our experience shows us the most beautiful side of the city with the most important places such as:

Cayma: It is considered one of the most traditional towns in all of Arequipa and is also a favorite destination for many tourists thanks to the various tourist attractions that we can find here such as the set of colonial mansions, as well as a varied and exquisite gastronomy of which stands out one of its main dishes is the Adobo Arequipeño. Among its buildings we find old mansions built between 1786 and 1886. Its church has two pyramid-shaped towers and vaults with similar decorations.
The Sachaca Viewpoint: This is a place ideal to spend an afternoon and enjoy a panoramic view of all of Arequipa, in the middle of a rural area and with a spectacular view of the three volcanoes Misti, Chachani and Pichu. This place has a height of approximately 19 meters and was built in 1988 on a hill that housed an old cemetery. Materials such as wood and metal were used; and was remodeled in 1996.
Paucarpata: It bears its name in Quechua, which when translated means flowery platform, because it is located in the upper part of a mountain and in its descents its agricultural areas supported by stone walls can be seen. It has a fantastic church that when visiting it shows us the wide art that exists.
Sabandia Mill: It is a beautiful and fantastic piece of colonial architecture, it is estimated that it was built in 1621, made from ashlar stone; even after time still today you can see the water still runs through its old channels that keep the mill in an optimal state, today around 800 kilos of grains are still milled. From this point you can see a series of volcanoes such as: Chachani, Misti and Pichupichu.
